Bear Creek
Stables held it's first Autumn Festival. It was a beautiful, yet
abnormally warm, October day where we shared our loves of horses
with our families, friends and a whole lot of guest who we hope had
a fabulous time. We have been touting our relaxed family atmosphere
and we were happy invite the community to this event to get to meet
us, meet our horses and see what we are all about!

To start off a
great festival you need great food. We believe that we truly
pulled this off by having the
Southern Pig BBQ of Blythewood cater this event. |

Face Painting, we got a hold of some hands
and arms as well, was a popular with kids at the festival.

It's an Autumn Festival and so there must
be pumpkins around just waiting to become a Jack O' Lantern. |

- Hey, we are a stables with lots of horses
around,
- so there must be lots of hay around for the
Hay Ride?
-
- You Betcha!
-
- This was a popular activity for everyone
and those that went got to see our obstacle
course used for building the confidence of
our horses and riders.
-
- Andy also took a few moments to give a
little history about the remnants of a still
located behind the obstacle course and the
open grave site of the revenuer who busted
the barrels open with an ax. We are happy to
report that the revenuer was removed and
given a proper burier, many many many years
ago.

Our goal was to have a festival that
the entire family could enjoy. We also wanted to share
our love of horses and allow our guest an opportunity to
do a little bit of riding. We also enjoyed in sharing a
little bit about ourselves and to show everyone the
services that we provide. |

Things started in a grand fashion about one mile from our
Pine Grove location with the wonderful sound of tread shredding to pieces on the horse
trailer! Needless to say, we made it to the starting point of
the parade with time to spare. Not a lot of time, but some. It
appears that pulling horse trailers and shredding tires is
becoming a tradition for BCS!

Here Banjo is being
educated by Denise on the fine art of the lead for
Bear Creek Stables. In
reality, Banjo is a typical two year old and he did
not learn his lessons well. He did finish the
parade, but not as the leader! He also needs some
more lessons in following!

Next up was to be Gabriel riding
Barbie. Note the "was" in the previous sentence. Take a
close look at the picture of the truck above and you
will find where Gabriel ended up. |

- Below is
Bear
Creek Stables barn manager Rindy and
Dusty both all ready to hit the parade route.
- Dusty was in a patriotic mood this fine
evening!

Beverly Buys Silver Dollar Dandy |

Congratulations to Denise Beverly on her purchase of SILVER
DOLLAR DANDY from Bear Creek Stables, a handsome grey registered
quarter horse. Denise was instantly smitten with Dan. He is a
great trail horse with an easy going personality. With the
expert guidance from Brenda Tietjen, Denise’s
lifelong dream of owning a horse has finally come true. Many
happy trail rides are in the future for Denise and Dan. |
