Buy and Sell

At Bear Creek Stables we are constantly looking for great trail horses and horses for our clients. If you know of a great horse that is for sale, let us know!

We have some great horses of our own that our clients have fallen in love with and have purchased. If you fall in love with one of our horses, don't be shy, we will be happy to discuss the purchase of one of our horses.

Lease Option
If you see a horse that interest you but want to make absolutely sure the horse is right for you, you may consider leasing the horse. When you lease, the horse is reserved for your use only. Lease horses will remain at our facilities and will remain on the Buy and Sell page. If someone makes an offer to buy a leased horse the individual leasing the horse will be given the chance to purchase the horse first. A horse will not be sold BEFORE a lease runs out.

So You Want to Buy a Horse

Regrettably, buying a horse can be a lot like buying a used car from a dealer. You will run into people you can trust and then there are those who are interested in nothing more than making a quick deal.

You should also be very cautious at auctions. You will run into some very beautiful animals at an auction but you may not have the opportunity to evaluate the horse’s personality.

Bear Creek Stables  can help you choose the right horse for you and your family. We will take the time to fully understand exactly what you desire in a horse.  We will then start searching and evaluating the perfect horse for you. We will also evaluate any horse that you may find that you have an interest in.

Once we believe that we have a suitable horse located for you, we will go visit the horse with you and  in determine if the horse is right for you. If you desire a pleasure riding horse we will ride the horse to evaluate the horse’s current state of training and mannerisms. You will also be given a chance to ride the horse to see how well you and the horse work as team.

If you desire a horse for competitive needs we can also help determine if the horse is suitable for these types of activities.
