During a powerful overnight thunderstorm on July 25, 2010 Fritzy,
Rocky and Luna, our two year old babies, were called home to a
greener pasture.
These three youngsters touched many people at Bear Creek Stables and
beyond. Most of us had never had the opportunity to be around a foal
that was only minutes old, to witness the miracle of the first steps
and the first drink of their mother’s milk. Most of us will never
have this opportunity again. We watched them grow and develop their
own personalities that were so similar to each of their mother’s.
There were many hot hours in the pasture with a horse trailer
watching them jump on and off as they learned that the trailer was
not a bad thing. We learned how stubborn they could be when we
wanted them to get on the trailer and they would snort at it and
refuse to get on. We experienced the joy of their first road trip to
a show where they each brought home ribbons.
While they have left our world the joy that they brought each of us
will always remain.
