Dan was originally purchased by Bear Creek Stables August 18, 2007. On that day a bunch of us took a ride with Brenda and Richard to Camden, SC to "test ride" some horses. Brenda likes to put several people on a horse to see how the horse handles with different riders. A lot of horses most may be great with the 1st rider but may not be the same 4-5 riders later. This is a testament to Brenda's thoroughness and commitment in making sure that she and anyone she is assisting gets the right horse. The following pictures are from that day as we test rode Dan and he happily took on everyone that wanted to ride.

Dan Through the Years

Dan was born on January 21 1992 in Boone, Iowa. At this time we are currently trying to contact the breeder and get some pictures of him when he was under a year old.

Dan moved to Carbon, Texas in May 1993. He lived at B-J Quarter Horses with Betty and Jim Duncan. Thanks to Betty and Jim for sending us the following pictures.

     

After his successful stint in Text Dan moved to Virginia in 1995. We are currently working to get some pictures from this era as well.

Dan finally made it to South Carolina in 1999. Come back to check and watch our progress as we add to Dan's history!
