Beginner
The first week will cover beginning horsemanship starting from the ground up. We will cover saddling and bridling, grooming, leading from the ground, riding the walk and trot, and basic horse care. Lectures and guest speakers will cover safety in the ring and on the trail. Campers will take short trails rides and learn simple mounted games

Intermediate
The second week will build on skills acquired in the first week. Depending on individual rider progress, campers may advance to posting the trot, sitting the trot and riding on the correct diagonal. Week 2 will include more advanced groundwork on the obstacle course, trail rides and more advanced mounted games involving multiple riders.

Each week will include horse related crafts and activities to complement in-the-saddle lessons.

Friday of each week is Parents' Day, where each student will demonstrate their new skills in a show-type setting.

We are limited to six campers per session and space will fill up fast!
